ACP-01 Wild Woman of the Woods Serving Ladles
This silver plated serving ladle & fork have a beautifully crafted handle with the carvings of a human figure. The image represents D’Sonoqua the mythical Wild Woman of the Woods of the Kwakiutl People. The original pattern was found at the village of Mainalele Kala at the entrance to Knight Inlet, B.C. D’Sonoqua is the Kwakiutl Goddess of abundance and rebirth. She bestowed wonderful blessings upon those who respected her but she was also greatly feared as a powerful figure twice the size of humans with supernatural powers. Interestingly enough, even though the Wild Woman represents the dark and dangerous side of the forests, she is also a bringer of wealth.
